The ORIENT STAR V is a Long Island, New York Sportfishing Charter & Lighthouse Cruise Destination...
We are often asked by our customers what should we bring on our charter?
CLOTHING. Dress comfortably for your charter. This often means dressing in layers depending on Long Island's ever changing weather. Our mornings on the water can be brisk during Spring, Summer & Fall.. but can and often will heat up as the day progresses. We do sail rain or shine, so we also encourage our charters to bring light rain gear and/or a waterproof windbreaker and rubber boots to keep feet from soaking.
PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS. We also recommend sunscreen, hand wipes and or sanitizer, sun glasses, and a baseball cap or visor.
FOOD & DRINKS. We invite you to bring food/snacks and beverages. A cooler is recommended to transport drinks, snacks & your catch! Alcohol is permitted. We ask that you drink responsibly and have a designated driver responsible for your transportation. NO ILLICIT DRUGS ARE PERMITTED ON BOARD THE ORIENT STAR V.
MEDICATIONS. In some instances, our customers may require medication to manage their healthcare during the course of a half day/full day charter. Please do pack your medication if needed! Please notify the Captain if you have any special medical conditions that you would like our crew to be aware of.
CAMERA. Capture your special event with your camera or cell phone! Perhaps you'd like our Captain or Mate to take your photo with your catch or a group photo. The ORIENT STAR V posts photos of the day at Noreast.com, our FaceBook page, and website gallery.
GEAR. While we do supply your charter with bait/tackle & ice- some of our customers prefer to use their own rod & reels. We invite you to bring your own gear- your Mate for the day will gladly assist you as you ready yourself for your outing.
